General maintenance can include things such as updating the WordPress core, your theme, additional plugins, running backups, and updating your content.
With over 12 years of experience creating websites and working with WordPress and WooCommerce, I know exactly what it takes to maintain a website and keep things running smoothly. That’s why I am here to help, with maintenance plans to suit all requirements.
Weekly, daily, or hourly backups hosted off-site.
Often overlooked, backups are crucial for your website’s survival should anything ever go wrong. The maintenance service includes backups run at intervals based on your package (weekly, daily or hourly), all stored in a secure location completely separate from where your website is hosted.
Daily security and malware scanning.
They say prevention is better than cure, and that’s certainly the case when it comes to the security of your website. Daily security and malware scanning will identify any vulnerabilities in WordPress, WordPress themes, and WordPress plugins so they can be patched before any problems arise.
WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates
All plans include regular safe WordPress core, WordPress theme, and plugin updates as and when needed (usually at least once per month). Plugins are checked for compatibility prior to the update and full backups are taken in case of any problems.

How often do you run updates?
Typically, updates are run at a minimum of once per month but this greatly depends on the number of plugins you have installed. More plugins may require more updates. Updates (where available) are always run when daily security scanning identifies a vulnerability to ensure the safety of your wesite.
What do "Small Website Edits" include?
Small edits can be anything from updating some website text to adding a product to your shop or publishing a new blog post. Generally speaking, small edits include updates or additions to website content and do not include any custom development work.
Can I use my own hosting?
Absolutely. Although unlimited hosting is included with every maintenance plan, you are not obliged to use this and maintenance can still be carried out whether you host with me or elsewhere.
Do you help in transferring my website to your host?
Yes, when you sign up for a maintenance plan and opt to move your hosting to me, a full website migration is completed for you.
Am I tied into a contract?
No, all plans are billed on a month-to-month basis that you are free to cancel at any time.
Do you offer discounts for multiple sites?
Yes, I can offer discounted pricing for managed sites of 3 or more, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
Can I add additional editing hours to my package?
Yes, I understand that some websites can require more attention than others, that’s why I offer retainer support packages that can include any type of website work. Hours are available in sets of 2 hours per month at a cost of £35 per hour. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
